Our pitched roofing work
We work in plain clay, handmade clay, concrete and interlocking tiles and in natural Welsh, Spanish and fibre-cement slate. Our work includes strip and re-tile, overlay repairs, ridge and hip renewal, new valleys, verges and eaves details, lead flashings, roof windows and fascia and guttering to match.
Where roofs are in conservation areas or on period properties, we match the original profile, colour and fixing method. Everything is installed to current good practice with breathable membrane and correct ventilation.

What is the lifespan of a pitched roof?
It depends on the covering. Concrete tiles typically last 50 to 60 years, clay tiles often much longer, and natural slate a century or more. The membrane, battens and flashings may need attention sooner.
Can you add a roof to my extension or loft conversion?
Yes. We build new pitched roofs for extensions and loft conversions and match the existing covering where needed.
Do you replace only part of a roof?
Yes. Where one slope is damaged and the rest is sound, we can replace just the affected area and blend it in.
Do you work on terraced houses with shared roofs?
Yes. Terraced and semi-detached roofs need care at party walls and shared chimneys. We advise on access and, where relevant, party wall notices.
