Your roofing questions answered
How much does a new roof cost in London?
The price depends on the roof size, the covering you choose, the amount of timber repair, access and scaffolding, and extras such as new fascias, guttering and roof windows. We give a free written quote after a survey, with the whole scope and a payment schedule.
How much does a roof repair cost?
Minor repairs are a fraction of the cost of a new roof. The price depends on the type of roof, the problem and the access. We inspect first and quote in writing.
Do you offer free quotes?
Yes. All our quotes are free and come without obligation.
Are you TrustMark registered and fully insured?
Yes. We are TrustMark registered, listed on Checkatrade and fully insured. Ask us for a copy of our insurance certificate.
Do you do emergency roof repairs?
Yes. We offer emergency call-outs across all London boroughs. Call us and we will tell you what to do straight away and how soon we can attend.
Which areas do you cover?
All London boroughs and the surrounding areas of Surrey, Kent, Essex and Hertfordshire. See areas we cover.
Do I need planning permission for roof work?
Like-for-like repairs normally do not. Conservation areas, listed buildings and changes to the roof’s appearance may need consent. We advise on this at the quote stage.
Will you need scaffolding?
For work at height we use scaffolding or access towers for safety. It is included in the quote and we arrange any licences needed.
How long does a roof repair or replacement take?
Small repairs can often be done in a single visit. A typical house re-roof takes from a few days to a couple of weeks depending on size, complexity and weather.
Can I stay at home during roof work?
Yes. Roof work is done from outside, although it can be noisy at times.
How do I know if I need a repair or a new roof?
Isolated problems usually need a repair. Widespread failure, repeated leaks and an old roof usually mean it is time to replace. We will give you both options if it is borderline.
Do you remove the waste?
Yes. Waste removal is included and we leave the site clean. If we suspect asbestos in old materials, we stop and arrange specialist testing.
